STATE ISSUES

According to reports and public documents, it appears that Louisiana currently has at least a
$3 billion surplus. 3 billion dollars! Now is the time that we can dedicate those funds to really improving our great State.  Instead of throwing money into one-time politically motivated projects let’s do something unusual this time. Let’s put the bulk of those dollars into improving Louisiana’s future. That means education and the economy. It means having the forethought to “invest” wisely. We need more of our education dollars going directly into the frontlines - our classrooms where our educators and young people are. We need to rebuild and improve our infrastructure so that business will want to locate or expand here and that will mean better jobs. We don’t need more taxes. We need more leadership.

In the legislature I will represent the people, the communities, the families and businesses of Avoyelles Parish. I will fight for our share of the surpluses and I will work with other like-minded legislators who believe the future of our children and grandchildren is much more important
that politics.
