ABOUT DERRICK "DIGGER" EARLES
Those who don’t know me are probably wondering how I got the nickname “Digger.” I will admit to wondering that myself sometimes. But, the truth is my grandfather penned that name on me when I was a child. He was a wonderful man and I feel honored that to this day I am known by the nickname he gave his grandson. It’s one of the reasons I have never tried to drop it. It reminds me of him and it is the name almost everyone knows me by.
